Come through next Friday for a final First Rays show, for now, at Ragtime.

Our lives have taken us in many directions through the last 5 years, and we're taking some time to sit back and contemplate the future.

We're by no means done forever, and the music will continue in one form or another, but this will be the final show for First Rays as you know it.

We thank each and every one of you for your support through the years, and look forward to bringing you news sights and sounds in 2008.

On November 5th Jomil and Charles set sail for the motherland, The Philippines. Well they're not actually on a boat, though being called FOBs when they arrived in their own country would be pretty darn funny. Jomil is making a return trip, and for Charles, this is his maiden voyage to PI. They will certainly be enjoying cool beverages and hot food, but also stopping in to see various family members all over the country. We wish them the best this month as they explore, relax and rejuvenate.

Due to dishonest disrespectful and deceitful circumstances, Lamel is no longer a part of First Rays.

Original Rays circa 2002 this Friday at Ragtime!

With Nate out of town, and Chuck back in town in preparation for his trip to the Philippines with Jomil, we decided to rock a show with the original First Rays line-up!

We're going to be playing a rack of the old tunes that have been off the set lists for some time, and diggin the chance to jam again.

Nate is back from wandering the country, Drew is back from his honeymoon, and Jomil is getting ready to take off for the motherland. It's been a busy couple of months for us. Nick's creative juices have been flowing strong and we've been working on some amazing stuff. We look forward to performing our new songs for everyone soon. Mel is working hard, and eager to rock out. We just added one more show at Ragtime for 2007. It's our Holiday Bash and we hope to see you all. Until we meet again, Peace and Blessings.

Well it's official. We had our last show with Charles drumming for us, and let me just say we DESTROYED it at Jammin Java last Saturday night. It was a full day with "Operation Chest Hair" at Ragtime earlier, which raised over $2,000 for Lymphoma research, and Jammin Java immediately following. Bobby T and the Magic Voyagers killed it, and Jubeus put on a great show, including some awesome renditions of "Call Me Al" and "Brick House." Many thanks to everyone who came out to support, you were a great crowd. Charles had a blast and was very appreciative of all the love.

We're going to take a couple months off as we get our new drummer and friend LaMel Randolph up to speed. Keep an eye out for a few acoustic shows in the meantime. Thank you all for 5 years of strong support, we promise bigger and better things to come.
